[As letters go, it's not much of one. Someone certainly made an admirable effort to tear a piece of paper into the shape of a heart. It's lopsided and stiff. Probably because it was soaked in blood.]

{Haru contemplates the heart for a long time without touching it because she's seen enough blood on paper to know what it looks like. She afraid, just a little of the stuff she's heard about Emily's wing, but mostly she's just exasperated and feeling like someone's played a cruel trick on her so she sits down and writes a response. }

Dear Unknown Crafter,

I greatly appreciate the time you took to shape this paper into a heart. May I suggest that next time you borrow a pair of scissors, or perhaps fold the edges of the heart and tear more slowly? I know I'm always looking for ways to improve my crafting skills. A bloody heart is a beautiful symbol, but I hope no one was actually hurt to procure the blood you used to great effect on the ripped paper.

That said, a bloody heart can mean many things and I'm a bit confused as to why I'm the recipient of it. If it's a joke, I didn't it funny at all. We must not have the same sense of humor. If it's a confession, I'm flattered, but would much rather have some words that I could get to know you by. Please know that bodily fluids are not the first and most appropriate way to show your love for someone.

Believe me, I've messed up a lot too. It turns out you're not supposed to test people's kindness or courage before you date them either, but I can't help myself sometimes. They always fail. But, this isn't about me.

Thank you again for your efforts, but please remember to be careful with your use of bodily fluids next time. Cutting with stencils is another good idea! I'm sure whoever you love will appreciate your efforts even if they don't reciprocate your feelings.

[The following day, a heart arrives in Haru's mailbox. It pulsates weakly, disturbing the puddle of blood around it. A pin stick out of it, and attached to the pin is an absolutely beautiful paper cut heart. The paper is creamy gold. It shimmers in the light. Behind the gold is a blood red, ribbed and ridged, and unlike the heart the cuttings there are downright disturbing and far less elegant, as if two different hands put this piece together.

On the back of the paper heart, a scrawling erratic hand has written a single note:] KEEP AWAY FROM HER SHE'S MINE

{ The actual heart is quite a bit more disturbing in Haru's mailbox, and she definitely doesn't handle it with her bare hands. Body parts aren't her usual trade, but she knows enough to try

She's particularly delicate with removing the paper cuttings, and admires their craftsmanship for a long time. It's an escalation, and a pointed above and beyond response to her return letter. She's got writing now, a bit of a purpose to attach to these occurrences.

Creepy as it is, she feels like if she takes it to the bosses now they'll worry too much without enough information so she resolves to get more.}

The paper crafting skill you've display here is phenomenal. I'm genuinely impressed and stunned at the time and quality thought put into this project. I can't think of anything more to be done with it unless you used it as a mixed media piece with other crafts of the same quality.

I am a little curious about the note left for me. I was wondering who exactly I should stay away from? I'm new here. I haven't met many people, and I'd hate to upset anyone by doing anything I shouldn't. I do know a lot of the guys in Rachel's wing, though, so I could tell them to stay away from whoever it is, too. We just need to know a name, or get a description from you.

{Organs weren't her usual goods of trade, after all. She didn't think she'd seen one out of a cooler ever before, at least outside of a fight. Chrome's had certainly been sealed up tightly when she had delivered them.}

[ And Nonon would be outside as she said she would be. Standing outside in a black and gold dress complete with baton and shako, standing as if she were waiting for Haru. ]

Good, I would have been annoyed if you didn't come right away.

{Sure, enough Haru appears at the assigned time toting a small sewing case with one hand. She beams and waves when she spots Nonon and heads over to her.}

Of course it is. It's my very best uniform, given to me by my best friend, and sewn by another of my childhood friends.

[ She whips her baton through the air. ]

It's also the strongest weapon in my arsenal. ...Would you like to see how? [ Now she's just grinning, enjoying the chance to show off. ]

It sounds like a lot of care went into it.

{Haru's eyes go wide, in general it was commonplace in her world to hide your weapons until you needed them, but if Nonon's wanted to show her she was all for having the information, and maybe eventually figuring out a way to get Nonon to lend her power, whatever strength-level it was to the Family.}

[ The more she uses it, the more it starts to fall apart. She's got Life Fiber here too, she just needs someone who can sew, and who likely won't be overwhelmed by the fiber.

But there's no point in waiting, she touches her hand to her chest and activates the Fibers in her uniform, causing it to sparkle and transform. She stands naked as the Life Fibers rearrange, taking form on her as her Symphony Regalia Finale, the same outfit she'd be chasing down Haru with soon enough.. ]

{She's incredibly flattered that Nonon's willing to maybe trust her with this, something that seems incredibly important to her, but part of her is also calculating what this kind of service might be able to leverage out of Nonon in return.

She's dazzled by the change. Reborn from her world is a master of the quick change, but even he has to actually change clothes rather than letting the clothes change themselves. It was amazing.}

You'll have to tell me everything you can about what makes it change like that. I've never worked with clothing this powerful. In my world, our power is accessed through accessories, not clothing.

[ The only problem for some people would be the... extreme amount of skin showing, but Nonon doesn't seem bothered her breasts are practically hanging out, her stomach and ass bare, and just that tiny little heart over her crotch. No she practically exudes confidence in her strength. ]

It's the Life Fibers. Only people with a proper tolerance can use them like this. They are dangerous things, but the best weapon we had to fight with. This uniform was destroyed, I don't know how the Maeve got it at all.
